Privacy notice
How we handle personal data collected through this website. Last updated 5 October 2026.
Who we are
Bluechip Experience Limited (RC 1938873), 5 Curtis Adeniyi-Jones Street, off Gbajumo Crescent, Surulere, Lagos, is the data controller for personal data collected through bcexl.com. You can reach us about privacy at info@bcexl.com.
What we collect
- Contact form. Your name, email address, company (if you give it), the topic you choose and your message.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address.
- Hosting logs. Our hosting provider records technical data such as IP addresses when pages are requested, to run and secure the service.
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it loads its fonts and graphics from our own server.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and follow up on it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or steps you ask us to take before entering a contract.
- To send the newsletter you asked for. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
We do not sell personal data or use it for automated decision-making.
Who processes it for us
We use service providers to run the site and handle messages: GitHub (website hosting), Formspree (contact form messages), and our email provider for the newsletter. Some of these providers store data outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 requires.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to two years after our last contact with you, unless we need them longer for a contract or a legal obligation. We keep newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, withdraw consent, and ask for a copy in a portable form. Email info@bcexl.com and we will respond within the time the law allows. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
